The Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation successfully hosted a large-scale World Diabetes Day Awareness Event on 14 November 2025 within the framework of the PRIM-01-28 Project.
The purpose of the event was to increase public awareness of Type 2 diabetes, its risk factors, prevention methods, early detection, and effective disease management. The initiative aimed to engage a wide audience, including young people, older adults, individuals at high risk, and socially vulnerable groups.
More than 500 participants took part in the event and were offered a variety of educational and practical activities:
Throughout the event, over 1,200 informational materials were distributed, including brochures, booklets, leaflets, as well as branded pens, notepads, and eco-bags designed to support health education.
Participants noted the high level of organization, the professionalism of the Center’s specialists, and the value of the knowledge and recommendations provided.
The Center expresses its gratitude to the PRIM-01-28 Project team, medical staff, coordinators, volunteers, and all partners who contributed to the success of this important initiative.
This event represents a significant step toward improving public understanding of diabetes and promoting a healthier society.
The Center will continue to implement educational and preventive activities aimed at strengthening community health and well-being.
